Who can join?Doorposts is open to any homeschooling families who are members or regular attenders at Christian Church in the Wildwood. What defines a homeschooling family? Quite simply, it means a family where one or more children are being educated at home.
I am not a CCW member. Can I still teach a co-op class or lead a Bible class at Doorposts? While our group is open to members and regular attenders of CCW, we do require our teachers to be CCW members. If the class you wish to teach is a Bible-based class, CCW policy requires you to be a member for one year. This will ensure that our teachers have knowledge of and are in agreement with the church's statement of faith and doctrine. If you would like more information on church membership, please visit CCW's website for the dates of the next church membership class.
Any "us vs. them" attitudes? We will not use Doorposts as a platform to "bash" other forms of education. We believe there are several educational options for Christian families to raise their children in a godly manner. In fact, some of our families have other children who attend private or public schools.
Doorposts ComponentsThere are several components of our group. Our families are encouraged to participate in as few or as many of these as their unique schedules will allow. Components are as follows: You can find detailed information on the above activities by clicking on their links.
How can I join?If you'd like to be a part of Doorposts, simply ask Leta Roznowski for our handbook and a registration form.
I have an idea for a future class or activity. Who do I contact about this? We'd love to hear your ideas and suggestions for the future! Please email Traci about any idea or suggestion you may have for a future class or activity.
